The Holy Trinity of Peak District passes — Cat & Fiddle, Snake Pass, and the Ladybower reservoir loop in between. The Cat & Fiddle is still the most-bikered road in England despite the average-speed cameras.

Two of the steepest roads in England, ridden in the only direction that makes sense — west out of Ambleside via Wrynose, through Cockley Beck, over Hardknott (1:3 in places), and back through Eskdale. Not for big tourers or learners. Avoid in the wet.
